DAMASCUS First round of talks between Iranian, Syrian speakers of parliament was held here yesterday at the Syrian Parliament in the presence of parliamentarians from both countries. Iranian Parliament Speaker Nateq Nouri said the parliamentary relations between Iran and Syria should be enhanced to the very top level adding that there exists no problem between the two brotherly and friendly states.

Syrian Parliament Speaker Abd al-Qadir Qaddurah expressed hope that his negotiations with his Iranian counterpart would serve to reinforce multi-lateral relations. He said grounds are well prepared for boosting parliamentary relations between the two countries. Heading a high-ranking delegation, Nateq Nouri arrived in Damascus on Tuesday for a three-day visit.
